Slumber Party 3
Ouka did agree to Naosuke's suggestion to hold a slumber party, but.
But he didn't consent to wearing matching pajamas with the others!
Issa seemed to share the sentiment ― a rare occurrence, because most of the time his opinion clashes with Ouka's ― and was quick to protest. "Why would I have to wear matching pajamas with you guys!?"
Takaaki, the one who suggested for the matching pajamas, had a fearless smile on him as he answered, "Because we've been given the pajamas for free, and since we're going to have a slumber party, isn't a good chance to wear it?"
That's... actually sound reasonable, in Ouka's opinion. But Issa doesn't relent so easily, and continued to give counter arguments.
Everything started because of the conversation they had during dinner.
That day, all members of Vazzy finished their works and lessons before dinnertime, so they have dinner together for the first time after awhile. During the talks that they had as they fill their stomach with foods, they learned that tomorrow everyone has their morning free and so doesn't have to wake up early. Because of that, Naosuke suggested for them to hold a slumber party tonight. Apparently he was a little envious that their sister group, Rockdown, held something similar on Ruka's birthday a few days ago.
Ouka had never attended anything like that before, so he agreed pretty easily. Issa was at first unwilling, but his younger brother Futaba convinced him to join. However, as the discussion about to come to an end peacefully, Takaaki brought up the idea of wearing matching pajamas for the occasion.
Takaaki received them from the apparel company who asked him to model for their latest sleepwear releases. Six pairs of pajamas in their image colors, with cat themed prints all over the fabrics.
It's kind of dreadful imagining grown up men wearing them.
"Ouka-san, here's yours."
"Huh?"
It seems Ouka had went too deep with his own thoughts that he didn't realize the arguments between Issa and Takaaki is over. Looking up, he saw Yuma smiling as he handed over a pair of light purple ― Ouka's image color ― pajamas to him. There is a hint of excitement in his smile.
"Please return after you change into these. We'll be waiting!"
"Ah... alright."
The other members are also leaving the common room one by one with their pajamas in hand. Including Issa, who looked very discontent about it. Apparently he lost in his arguments with Takaaki earlier, and had to relent. Ouka, after giving the clothes in his arms another glance, became the last to leave the room with mixed feelings weighing down his steps.

Ouka was the last to leave, and he was also the last to reappear in the common room. By the time he returned, everyone is already inside, having changed into the pajamas. As he entered, he can see Naosuke trying to pull Issa away from the long couch, the older apparently wished to just sleep right away before the event started. Yuma is in the kitchen, helping Futaba preparing coffee and snacks. Takaaki, noticing his entrance, had a funny smile on him and waited until Ouka reached his side before commenting.
"It feels refreshing, seeing you wearing something with loud patterns like this."
"I know that it doesn't suit me the moment I put it on and looked at my own reflection. You don't have to emphasize it, thank you."
"Eeh~? I didn't mean it like that. Besides, whether the pajamas suit you or not doesn't really matter, you know?"
"... What do you-"
"Ah, Ouka-san is finally here!"
Naosuke, finally noticing Ouka's presence, stopped bickering with Issa and approached him. He had this look of admiration on him as he talked.
"Just like what I thought, Ouka-san still looks awesome even in printed pajamas!"
"Is... that so? Thank you. You also looks good in it, Naosuke."
"Really!? I'm glad! Though actually, even if it doesn't look good on me, I will still feel happy wearing it, because it's matching with Ouka-san and the others."
Ouka's eyes widened at the statement. He turned his head to look at Takaaki, who made a shrugging gesture and left upon noticing that Ouka seemed to have realized what he meant with his comment earlier. Naosuke, who didn't understand what had transpired, tilted his head.
"Ouka-san?"
"..... Yes... yes, you're right, Naosuke."
At this kind of occasion, one shouldn't be fussy about some trivial things like what they wear.
Because it's more important to focus on the fact that they'll do the same things. Staying up all night. Chatting idly. Enjoying moments of togetherness.
