Disco Party

Ouka felt really, really out of place.

The music that filled the hall, although pleasant and got him to tap his foot rhythmically along with the beat, was too loud. There were also people everywhere, and he couldn't help but bump into someone if he tried to move to another side of the room.

But, what can he do about it? It's a night club. The loud music and the crowd is to be expected.

"You look so tired."

The comment came from his left, where Gaku sat, accompanying him in securing the table for their friends, who had all throw themselves to the dance floor, letting their body move along with the music.

"Had a rough week?"
"You can say that."

It wasn't only works that exhausted him. The little ― okay, who is he kidding. The MASSIVE crush he has on a certain someone from their circle was making him go through a roller coaster of emotions for the past week.

Gaku, as one of the few people with common sense in their ridiculous clique, knew from the answer that Ouka doesn't want to explain, so he didn't bother to ask either and the albino is grateful for it.

(Although he probably had figured out without even needing the explanation. He's their group's Mom Friend, after all.)

"You should've go join them in the dance floor, Ouka. De-stress yourself by working up some sweat."
"It's okay. I'm not much of a dancer anyway. Besides, I would feel bad leaving you all alone here."
"That's sweet of you, but you don't have to worry about me. Look."

Gaku pointed at the stairs that lead to the private space that they currently occupied, and Ouka saw that some of their friends had decided to retire from the dance floor.

"Gakkun! Ouka-kun! Thanks for keeping the table!"
"Welcome back, Ru. Shou and Haruto too. How was it?"
"It felt nice. Haruto taught me some moves too, though I think I've had enough of dancing for tonight."
"Is that so? I still wanted to dance some more after resting a bit. How about you, Ouka-san?"
"Me? I think I'll stay and watch from here..."
"Eeh~? But that'll be such a waste!"

Ruka plopped down on the empty spot at Ouka's right side. With a cocktail glass in one hand, he leaned close and placed his free hand on the albino's shoulder.

"We came here to party! To let off some steams after a long, tiring week! So you should enjoy yourself too. Eat, drink, dance!"
"I don't mind the eating part, but-"
"Besides."

As if saying that he refused to listen to Ouka's excuses, with the hand still holding on his glass, Ruka pointed at the dance floor.

"You sure you want to leave him alone there?"

Ouka was sporting a frown as that sentence made him realized what his pink haired friend was trying to point at.

The object of his stupid crush was still on the dance floor. And the girls surrounding him were clearly ogling at him. That idiot is quite a looker, so this is to be expected... no. It's actually a daily sight.

However, even though he's used to seeing it, doesn't mean that Ouka likes it.

But, what can he do? It's not like that guy is finding the situation as a problem, and-

"Ouka-kun."

A glassful of liquor was shoved into his hands by a grinning Ruka. The smaller man said nothing else, but Ouka knew what he wanted him to do.

And he's totally up for it.

Giving the glass a firm hold, Ouka gulped all of its content in one go.

The alcohol went down easily and his low alcohol tolerance makes it all the faster for it to affect his system. It doesn't take long for Ouka to feel giddy and pleasantly buzzed. The injection of much needed courage to go down to the dance floor, swimming his way through the sea of people to get to where dear crush is.

"Takaaki!"

He didn't think that his voice was loud enough to be heard over the blaring music, but the brunet miraculously turned to look at his way and caught his held out hand, pulling him so now they're standing in front of each other with only a few centimeters setting them apart.

"Ouka? I didn't think you would-"
"Dance with me."
"... pardon?"
"Dance. With. Me."

Takaaki opened his mouth to ask again, but before he could as much form a syllable, Ouka had swayed his hips, attempting to dance to the beat. He'd like to believe that he's not moving awkwardly, and instead blames the amount of people in the dance floor that sometimes he got pushed against the taller man, making him unintentionally grind against him.

He didn't remember much of what happened afterwards. Only bits like hearing Takaaki taking a sharp breath before starting to move along with him and the intoxicated smiles they shares. But they were enough to make him happy with the thought that he got Takaaki all for himself, even if just in that short moment of the night.

Though the bad hangover he gets in the next morning make him swore that he won't go nightclubbing with them until at least the next year.
